Connect industrial models to enterprise assets
OPC UA represents equipment information through nodes, attributes and relationships. Approved reads or subscriptions can bring selected variables and events into Uplyst, where they relate to assets, production orders and maintenance records.
Server identity, namespace context and node identifiers preserve the origin of each observation. Engineering units and model relationships describe what the measurement means and where it belongs in the process.
Keep measurement quality with the asset
OPC UA DataValues carry a value, status code and timestamps. Good, uncertain and bad readings have different uses; a failed measurement cannot be treated as a valid zero. Source and server timestamps retain the timing information supplied by the system.
In Uplyst, observations can be related to equipment, production lines and process stages. Those relationships support maintenance and quality decisions while keeping the age and reliability of each reading available.

ns=2;s=PR17.SpeedNode identity, engineering units and status remain attached to the asset. A failed reading stays unavailable in downstream analysis.
Sampling, subscriptions and data completeness
Monitored items sample attributes and apply filters; subscriptions deliver their notifications. Sampling intervals and publishing intervals serve different purposes, and the server can revise requested settings according to its capabilities.
Queue limits and discard policies affect the available history. Data change queues larger than one report an overflow when queued values are discarded. A queue size of one keeps only the latest value without an overflow indication. These settings determine whether an interval contains every reported change.

Trusted access to industrial information
OPC UA supports application authentication, secure communication and user authorisation. Certificates, trust lists and security policies define the permitted connection. Access remains within the approved industrial network architecture, using a gateway where appropriate.
Maintain context through industrial changes
Server interruptions, unavailable nodes and changes to the information model can affect the continuity of an asset view. Recovery uses the history and subscription capabilities available from the source. Missing intervals remain distinguishable from normal operation, and equipment writes or control stay within separately authorised workflows.
